Treasurer’s Report:  September 2015 to August 2016

Posted by & filed under Membership, Uncategorized.

The Core Group attempts to organize a Members’ meeting at least once a month through the period September to June. Some of these meetings during the last year were just for members; others were events involving a speaker or a performance.

Of the eleven meetings in the last period (September 2015 to August 2016 and not including those meetings during Holy Nights), six were events of some form when small fees/donations were collected from those who attended.

These six events resulted in a positive cash flow contribution of $466.78. Four members made contributions to the Branch totaling $240.00.

The Branch provides light refreshments at Members’ meetings, supported travel of Class Readers and to the Society’s AGM as well as the Branch’s website. These expenses resulted in a net loss for the period (September 2015 to August 2016) of $1,092.71. Fortunately the Branch has a small reserve that helps covers this loss.

The Branch is supported by its members – attendance at meetings and events as well as contributions are very important to the Branch’s well – being. We urge members to consider making contributions to the Branch either direct to the Treasurer (John Baring, 500 Cathedral Drive, #2814, Aptos, CA 95001) payable to the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in America (SCMBBASA) or through the mechanism set up on the Branch’s web site (http://www.anthroposophysantacruz.com/membership).

Suggested contributions are $40 per member or $60 per household and can be paid annually or monthly through the website.

With many thanks for your support.
